SECURITY:

It is very safe in Crete. However, we find it difficult to relax over such matters and on going out we tend to place valuables in the villa bedroom which has in interior door key. The exterior gate should also be locked.

SHOPPING:

For tourist shops (with tourist prices) try theplaces along the coast road such as Platanias. Otherwise get the bus to Chania.  Apparently there are cheap shops and expensive shops but nothing in between.

SUPERMARKET:

INKA are everywhere and good quality. There is another supermarket along the coast road. There is also a Co-Op further along.
