NAMES:
- Eric (the Viking) = the big white house next door
- Hans Stollen (Dutch) = the honey coloured house at end of road. Has Labrador called Max who escapes every now and then
- Yiannis = If an old boy wanders in dressed in cap and knee high black leather boots you are in the presence of a 90yr old who will enjoy a good chat particularly about fighting with the British against the Germans in the war when he was 25. Oh by the way he doesn’t speak any English, but it’s very entertaining
- Mikaelis = the baker’s shop in old part of Kolymbari although his son and wife also work in the shop
- Pauline & Michael = Snobby Villas directors, who live on the road down to beach
- Kirstie & Sean = Kirstie (daughter of Mike and Pauline) operates Cretan Pools and Gardens. Sean is a builder for Snobby Villas
- Nicos = the postman apparently. Won’t deliver to upper Afrata
- Polly = runs the Taverna on right as you approach the crossroads in centre of village. She’s lovely and will look after you.
